Belgorodenergo reminds: you need to know electrical safety regulations from an early age

29.04.2016

On the World Day for Safety and Health at Work employees of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division held a class on electrical safety for children of kindergarten № 44 of the regional centre. The power engineers talked to the pre-school children about how to behave in the vicinity of power facilities and handle electricity in the home.

Electricity surrounds us everywhere, but fraught with danger - the children learned the information from the first minute of the lesson. Every child from an early age needs to know the consequences of careless handling of electrical appliances, what electric shock is dangerous about, how to protect yourself from injury and help others. This is especially true in the summer when kids spend much time outdoors, where they can be in danger.

The kids waited for the visit of the specialists and thoroughly prepared for the meeting. They learned poems, riddles and pleased the guests with colourful drawings - a kind of reminders on electrical safety. The children produced these works of art in the framework of the drawing competition "Make friends with electricity", organized and conducted by the branch of Belgorodenergo.

During the lesson the kids were happy to try on insulating gloves and a safety helmet of power engineers, examined in detail the safety signs and easily answered all the quiz questions, which the power engineers conducted to consolidate knowledge.

According to the director of elementary school - kindergarten № 44 of the city of Belgorod Liliya Kashirina, after such classes the electrical safety rules will be kept in the memory of the children: "Protection of life and health of children - this is the most important area. Teachers, of course, tell the kids how to behave in different situations. But when the information is presented by an expert who knows the details of the topic and gives such striking examples, for children it is especially interesting."

After the class the children received as a gift brochures, bookmarks, stickers with electrical safety requirements, and the authors of drawings even special diplomas of "the best experts on the rules of electrical safety". The staff of IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division will continue holding these classes in the future. The main task is to involve the largest possible audience of children, to make their lives as safe as possible.
