21-22 April 2016 in the Tambov region there is a sharp deterioration in weather conditions: heavy precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow, strong up to 22 m/s wind. According to the weather forecasters, in this connection there is threat of wire breakage of power lines and, as a consequence -interruption of power supply to consumers.
To ensure the stable functioning of the distribution grid complex of the Tambov region in bad weather conditions IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division implemented a number of organizational and technical measures.
The control over the functioning of the electricity grids of all voltage classes and substation equipment was enhanced. Operators on duty of Tambovenergo interact effectively with the General Directorate of EMERCOM of Russia in the Tambov region, which in due time informs the monitoring data of climatic factors that significantly affect the operation of life-supporting structures. First responding mobile crews are equipped with necessary tools, materials and transport.
28 first responding and restoration crews are on duty with 56 people and 28 special vehicles. In the event of major technological disturbances the number of staff may be increased to 82 crews (444 people) and 184 vehicles, contractors may also be involved to the restoration work. Backup power supply of socially significant consumers of the Tambov region, if necessary, can be provided by generator sets with a total capacity of 580 kW.
At the moment, the energy system of the Tambov region is operating in a stable way, no technological failures of electric equipment in the period of the adverse weather conditions have been recorded.
