19.04.2016

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division during the autumn-winter peak loads of 2015/2016 provided reliable power supply to consumers of the Kursk region. The work of the enterprise was appreciated this way at a meeting of representatives of the subjects of the electric power industry and large electricity consumers, organized by the Kursk regional dispatch office.

The stable operation of the power system of the Kursk region in the autumn-winter period (AWP) is the result of the successful implementation of preparations by the power engineers. So, Kurskenergo’s experts overhauled 25 substations of 35-110 kV, 414 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV and more than 3,139 km of overhead power lines of 0.4-110 kV. They cleared ROWs of overhead lines of all voltage levels in excess of 900 hectares. All Kurskenergo’s units were provided in a timely manner with necessary equipment, materials and spare parts, trucks and specialized machinery. In order to improve readiness in preparation for the AWP emergency response trainings and joint exercises were conducted with EMERCOM, administrations, executive authorities of districts of the region.

The quality of preparation of the power engineers for winter was "checked" by an atmospheric front that passed on the territory of the Kursk region in January, which was accompanied by wet snow, gusty wind and rain. Kurskenergo’s power system went through the test adequately, no massive outages for consumers were allowed.

"These results were achieved thanks to the good organization of preparation of equipment for the winter, the quality control of repairs, clear and coordinated work of staff of the power company and our partners," stressed First Deputy Director – Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Vyacheslav Istomin.
