One of the main activities of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is connection of facilities to electric grids. In 2015 Smolenskenergo fulfilled about 4,600 contracts for grid connection of the total connected capacity of over 98 MW. In the list of facilities connected to the grid the considerable part of them are socially-significant, among which health care facilities are worth mentioning.
So, one of the major socially important facilities connected to the grid of Smolenskenergo in 2015 was Traumatic facility of Regional State Budgetary Healthcare Institution "Clinical Emergency Hospital". The hospital provides specialized and highly qualified medical assistance around the clock and free of charge. The city emergency station was transferred into the hospital from February 2014 and it was then that the question arose of the need to premises on the territory, and not remotely where previously there was a fracture clinic. Since September 2015, after the completion of the grid connection and the end of construction and finishing works the traumatic facility started to function at the new address in the territory of the hospital "Red Cross" in the centre of the city of Smolensk.
Also in 2015 the grid connection of a building of the Medical Centre "Guinea" in Smolensk was completed, with its maximum power of 30 kW. The main direction of activity of the centre is to provide high quality care to patients with gynecological diseases and reproductive disorders. During the existence the centre became a leading commercial clinic from a small medical facility.
"Such socially important facilities are an absolute priority for us," says the head of grid connections of Smolenskenergo Sergey Lapin. "Despite the fact that the number of applications for grid connection both from individuals and from businesses is growing rapidly, specialists of the branch always pay special attention to grid connection of socially important facilities."
In 2015 construction of a new perinatal centre in Smolensk in Frunze Street began. Territory for the hospital was provided, work began on the cleanup. The project cost is estimated at 2.5 billion rubles – the construction of the centre with an area of 25 thousand square metres (6-8 floors) and outbuildings in the territory.
The grid connection of the centre was started last year. Smolenskenergo performed work to remove networks ahead of schedule. The grid connection is currently on schedule. The maximum connected capacity is 2.29 MW. It is planned that the perinatal centre will begin its work already in 2017.
