IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division has started its repair campaign in 2016. Planned funding for the repair program of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division in 2016 is 190.77 million rubles. In this case more than 64% of the total funding will be allocated for the execution of work without contractors (by own staff, without the involvement of third party companies). This will allow to reduce operational costs and at the same time to perform the planned physical volume of repairs.
Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre for the year are to perform an impressive amount of work. It is planned to repair 223.79 km of overhead power lines (Conductors) of 110 kV, 495.35 km of 35 kV power lines, 1,045 km of 6-10 kV power lines and 604.94 km of 0.4 kV distribution networks. The total length of repaired lines is 573.15 km over the previous year. It is also planned to repair 706 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV.
The ROWs clearing plan in 2016 is: 435.21 hectares of 110 kV overhead lines, 324.69 hectares of 35 kV overhead lines and 529.20 hectares of 6-10 kV overhead lines. In addition, it is planned to expand ROWs of 6-110 kV overhead lines in the amount of 560.00 hectares.
As a rule, the bulk of the work falls annually on the second and third quarters of the year. This year comprehensive repair of 27 substations of 35-110 kV with total capacity of 319.5 MW is scheduled. The most important of them are the substations 110/10 kV "Yartsevo-1", 110/6 kV "Zapadnaya", 110/10 kV "Vyazma-2" and 110/35/10 kV "Velizh". Repair of substation is done throughout the year, but 52% of the plan (or 14 substations) will be renovated during the summer months. This will allow to improve the overall reliability of the power system and provide quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers.
The repair program of the branch is aimed at ensuring working order of power lines and substations, trouble-free operation through the autumn-winter period and a general increase in the reliability of electric grid facilities of the region. Despite the difficult situation in the economy, no decrease in funding of the repair program and planned activities for these purposes is provided.
Last year the total volume of capital investments amounted to 193.75 million rubles. The funds were used to repair cables and overhead power lines of 0.4-110 kV, substations of 6-110 kV, buildings and structures, maintenance of motor vehicles, repair of dispatch and process control devices, instrumentation, as well as relay protection and automation.
When performing repair work at power facilities Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre apply advanced technologies and materials, thereby increasing equipment life and reducing costs for scheduled maintenance.
Qualitative performance of the repair program will allow in a timely manner to prepare for the coming winter. According to the power engineers, the key to trouble-free operation, reliable functioning of power equipment and uninterruptible power supply to consumers at autumn-winter maximum loads is quality repair of equipment in the summer.
