Within the days of students’ science in the Yaroslavl State Agricultural Academy specialists of IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division held a workshop to provide first aid for future power engineers.

Employees of Occupational Safety and Production Control of "Yarenergo" studied with students of the specialty "Electrical equipment and electrical technologies in agro-industrial complex" such human conditions such as fainting, coma and clinical death. Following the instruction, the students worked out performance of precordial shock, mechanical ventilation and chest compressions on a mannequin Gosha several times reviving the victim. In addition, they stopped Gosha’s bleeding with injury of the femoral artery with a tourniquet and quickly made from roll of fabric.

"I believe that the ability to provide first aid is a basic and very important skill that everyone should master. First aid is a set of simple actions and manipulations, but its timeliness in case of emergency can have a decisive influence on the situation. Possibly these skills will never be needed or just once in a lifetime. But maybe because of them you will be able to save someone’s life," stressed an engineer of production safety and production control of Yaroslavl section of IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division Andrey Vinogradov.

This workshop is not the first experience of cooperation of "Yarenergo" and YSAA. Since 2015 the joint base department "Electric distribution grids" has been operating, where teaching staff are employees of "Yarenergo" at the production base of the company under the leadership of Deputy Chief Engineer for Operations - Head of the production asset management centre of IDGC of Centre – Yarenergo division Semyon Kochkin. The joint Chair of "Yarenergo" and YSAA aims to train highly qualified professionals with good theoretical and practical knowledge, who will be able in a short period to adapt to the workplace and to start solving production problems.
