"Lipetskenergo" is preparing for the season of mass repairs

In anticipation of the repair campaign in 2016 the company is implementing a number of measures aimed at improving the organization of work, prevention of occupational injuries and creation of safe working conditions.

Massive repair work is annually performed in "Lipetskenergo" in the period from April to October, and requires particularly careful preparation. Successful operation through the autumn-winter peak loads largely depend on the quality of its implementation.

In accordance with the action plan, this work will continue until the beginning of April. During this time staff of "Lipetskenergo" will receive appropriate technical training, the main issues of which will be safety performance of work at electrical installations, implementation of new safe technologies, safety of personnel when using motor transport and lifting machines and mechanisms, as well as provision of first aid in the workplace.

During the training the staff will have the opportunity to practice the knowledge gained with use of the computer software "ASOP Expert" and simulators for first aid to victims, as well as in special training centres.

According to its results there will be a check of readiness of structural subdivisions of the branch to conduct massive repairs with subsequent certification of the personnel.

This allows the employees to form a high level of self-discipline in the performance of electrical safety regulations, and thus to minimize the risk of injury during work," stressed the head of production safety and production control of "Lipetskenergo" Maxim Yashin.
