IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division performs regular work to create conditions for the development of housing construction in the Smolensk region. Specialists of the branch annually perform a large amount of work in the field of grid connection of housing projects.
During 2015 activities were carried out to connect 15 blocks of flats to the grid in the neighbourhoods: Kiselyovka, Novoseltsy, 9th southeastern micro-district of the city of Smolensk. Work on grid connection of a 9-storey residential building in the street Krasninskoye highway was completed. Work on connecting houses in the residential neighbourhood "New Smolensk" (Milovidovo) being under construction is scheduled for completion later this year.
In general, in 2015 Smolenskenergo connected 18 blocks of flats to the grid in the region.
"By the provision of necessary facilities for the supply of electric energy to the built apartment houses, the power company contributes to improving the living conditions of the population," stressed Head of grid connections Sergey Lapin. "Providing the territories of its service area in a timely manner and in full with grid connection of residential houses and facilities of small and medium-sized businesses, the branch contributes to implementation of the effective housing policy in the region." and regulations for technical operation, occupational safety, industrial, fire safety and other special regulations and normative technical documents.
