Voronezhenergo summed up the work on labour protection in 2015

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division summed up the work on labour protection in 2015. The action plan to improve the safety of professional activity and injury prevention of staff was carried out by the power company in full. 49.4 million rubles were allocated for its implementation.

The bulk of these funds was spent to provide personnel with protective clothing, personal protective equipment and devices that reduce the risk of injury during the work, as well as to finance the sanitary measures for prevention of diseases in the production.

As part of the monitoring of compliance with safety requirements throughout the year Voronezhenergo carried out 41,765 unannounced inspections of work places of crews. According to their results an increase in the quality of the organization and safe operation as well as reduction of the number of violations on the part of staff was noted. Within the framework of monthly Safety Days knowledge of safety rules by staff of work performance was tested, fire-prevention condition of premises, equipment of personnel with special clothing, footwear and personal protective gear.

All production staff of Voronezhenergo was trained on occupational safety. In the process of training the power engineers were instructed, worked out practical action in training centres and simulators.

In 2015 more than 550 managers and specialists of the branch, about 2,000 employees of working professions had their knowledge tested on the rules and regulations for technical operation, occupational safety, industrial, fire safety and other special regulations and normative technical documents.

Last year Voronezhenergo also continued working actively for the prevention of accidents to third parties at facilities of the branch. To this end, the energy company held over 370 lessons on electrical safety for 5,000 schoolchildren in all districts of the Voronezh region. In addition, throughout the year, outreach with the population was conducted through the media on the rules of behaviour near power facilities.
