In late February, during the week of electrical safety in schools of the Smolensk region under the already established tradition, power engineers of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division conducted a lesson in Smolensk Field Marshal Kutuzov Cadet Corps.
Informing about the dangers of electrical current is important for cadets of the Cadet Corps, the main goal of which is training of minors to the professional service of the Fatherland. At the lesson on electrical safety cadets of grades 5-6 learned about the rules of electrical safety and actively participated in practice sessions, during which they had the opportunity to study the protection gear of power engineers, to try on special clothes, to play as a rescuer.
Lead engineer for labour protection of the production safety and production control office of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division Alexander Kunevich told the cadets about the dangers inherent in the electricity, reminded of careful handling of electrical appliances, because usual in the home electrical current can carry a deadly threat not forgiving of neglect to the rules of electric safety. Alexander Kunevich paid particular attention to the topic to deny access to third-parties on the territory of power facilities that should not be a place for games and entertainment. The Cadet Corps cadets watched videos, which clearly show what can happen if not to comply with electrical safety regulations.
In the course of the lesson the children learned a lot of useful things, showed their ability to distinguish a defective appliance from a normal one, understood how to act if they see lying on the ground or hanging around a pole wire. And then they began to work with the robot simulator "Gosha", using which, Alexander Kunevich gave a master class to teach skills in first aid.
"The branch cooperates with this institution not for the first year, and similar classes for cadets are held here with great success," stressed Lead engineer for labour protection of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division Alexander Kunevich.
