Specialists of the department of metrology and quality of electric power of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division summed up the results of activity in 2015. During this period they organized and carried out activities in the field of metrological provision of production: they checked 2,457 measuring instruments, including 845 meters of electric energy, calibrated 1,316 measuring instruments and repaired 744 ones.

As part of the metrological examination of the technical documentation for the past year they coordinated 275 contracts for the provision of electric power transmission, five technical specifications for grid connection of consumers, 42 technical tasks for the acquisition of measuring instruments.

The specialists of the department of metrology and quality of electric power of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division together with staff of the laboratory of LLC "Independent certification authority", according to the annual schedule for periodic monitoring of power quality, measured electric power quality in 1,455 monitoring points. Based on the results of the measurements they developed and implemented the necessary corrective technical measures to bring the power quality to the requirements of GOST 32144-2013. Power quality monitoring was conducted with certified devices having the certificate of verification, namely, "QNA-412", "Break-KE", "Break-T", "Energotester-PKE-A" and "Energomonitor 3.3".

Smolensk power engineers of IDGC of Centre constantly work on complaints of consumers on the quality of electricity. Engineers of the department of metrology and quality of electric power performed work on 215 justified complaints on the quality of electric energy addressed to the branch in 2015.

"The developed by experts of IDGC of Centre system of metrological support of production helps ensure uniformity of measurements in Smolenskenergo. Used modern methods of verification and calibration of measuring instruments allow to provide accuracy in all directions of activity of the branch. On the basis of accurate measurements reliable conclusions are made about the state of equipment in operation, economical electrical mode, etc.," commented the lead engineer on metrology Andrey Blinchevskiy.

Confirmation of quality of electricity, transmitted by grid companies, is evaluated with the availability of the certificate of conformity of quality of electric energy. In 2015 work was carried out on the inspection control of the certified electric energy by an independent testing laboratory of the Ryazan Centre of LLC "Energotekhtcentre". As a result of the work the validity of the issued in 2014 certificate of conformity was confirmed. In 2016 it is planned to hold the next inspection control.

As part of the measures for training and retraining of staff, two employees were trained on the topic "Management of electric power quality", four employees on the topic "Metrological provision of production".
