Staff of IDGC of Centre – Voronezhenergo division became winners of the annual competition in ice fishing among power engineers of the Voronezh region. The event, organized by the Voronezh regional committee "Russian Electroprofsoyuz", was held on February 21 in Paninsky district and gathered 50 participants. Voronezhenergo was represented by teams of Borisoglebsky, Liskinsky, Kalacheevsky and Voronezhsky Distribution Zones, as well as the executive office of the branch.
The power engineers were lucky with the weather – it was sunny and warm, with ice thickness reaching 25-30 centimetres. The competition lasted for three hours, winners were determined in team and individual competition by weighing the catch. As a result, the first and second place went to representatives of Voronezhenergo - teams of Borisoglebsky and Liskinsky Distribution Zones. Employees of the company were also distinguished in the individual competition. Vyacheslav Sergeev of the executive office and Igor Gridnev from Borisoglebsky Distribution Zone shared the second place, and Victor Kotlyarov from Kalacheevsky Distribution Zone became the third.
"Ice fishing competitions have become a tradition for the power engineers. Despite the rivalry, their atmosphere was warm and friendly. Such events are very useful. They help not only to relax with health benefits, but also to strengthen corporate spirit," stressed Chairman of the primary trade union organization of Voronezhenergo Sergey Ronshin.
