The total economic effect of the implementation in 2015 of the program of energy saving and energy efficiency in IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division was 14.25 million kWh in the amount of 37.03 million rubles, thus the targets set for 2015 were achieved.
For the implementation of the program employees of the branch perform technical and organizational measures aimed at reducing electricity losses in the grid to the set level and optimizing energy consumption for utility needs of substations and economic needs of buildings and facilities of the branch. The technical measures include replacing wires with larger sections on overloaded power lines, as well as bare wire with self-supporting insulated wire in sections of maximum electricity losses, at overloaded and underloaded transformers , and the organizational measures are: disconnection of transformers in an operation mode with small loads in substations with two transformers and transformers with seasonal load, levelling phase loads in distribution networks of 0.38 kV and load redistribution of the core grid with switching.
In addition, the branch conducts regular inspections of consumers to identify non-metered and non-contractual consumption, in 2015 acts of non-contractual consumption were drawn up in the amount of 0.319 million kWh at 1.205 million rubles, non-metered consumption – 8.844 million kWh at 24.75 million rubles. The implementation of the program to develop electricity metering and control devices in 2015 brought the effect in the amount of 3.365 million kWh at 6.099 million rubles.
"The implementation of the energy conservation and energy efficiency program is one of the priorities of IDGC of Centre – Smolenskenergo division. Thanks to the activities aimed at reducing electricity losses, re-equipment and reconstruction of power grids, reducing electricity consumption for utility and economic needs of the branch economic benefits were achieved in the amount of 37.030 million rubles, the savings are used to develop and improve reliability of the grid infrastructure of the branch," summed up Head of energy saving and energy efficiency department of Smolenskenergo Dmitry Serenkov.
