In 2015, as a whole, IDGC of Centre – Lipetskenergo division decreased the failure rate. In particular the total number of outages in 0.4/6/10-35/110 kV grids decreased by 13.8% compared to the year of 2014.

The power company achieved such results through regular work on the modernization of the electric grid complex, implementation of new technologies, equipment replacement, system-wide approach to repair of power facilities, advanced training of operational and maintenance personnel.

So, in 2015, all the work planned in the maintenance program was completed, on the realization of which 159.9 million rubles were sent. More than 1.2 thousand km of power lines of different voltage classes, 123 transformer substations and distribution stations, and 10 substations of 35-110 kV were repaired. 621.2 hectares of ROWs along power lines were cleared off shrub undergrowth and trees.

For rapid response to possible technological disturbances "Lipetskenergo" formed 25 crews being always ready, 103 - reserve and 9 - mobile, available at any time to go to the site of damage to electrical equipment, including neighbouring regions. In order to coordinate first responding and restoration operations, a system of Crisis Management Centres was developed.

Staff is prepared to act in emergency situations during training exercises.

"The failure rate indicator affects the assessment of the effectiveness of the branch as a whole, so we pay the utmost importance to the work to reduce it. An important place in this work is given to analysis of indicators of technological failures and monitoring of recurring interruptions," stressed Head of industrial safety and production control department Maxim Yashin.
