Kurskenergo provides reliable power supply to consumers in the period of maximum load

During the autumn-winter peak load of 2015 – 2016 (autumn-winter operation period) IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division provides reliable power supply to consumers in the Kursk region. Equipment operates in a stable mode, which is known to be one of the main indicators of reliability. In a case of emergency situations related to weather conditions, energy supply is restored as soon as possible.

So, in mid-January on the territory of the Kursk region there was atmospheric front, which was accompanied by wet snow, gusty wind, and rain. Due to high quality held preparatory work for the autumn-winter operation period by power engineers, the information received by them immediately about the adverse forecasts, preventive measures and concerted actions they managed to avoid difficult for consumers consequences of the disaster in the service area of Kurskenergo. Minor local disturbances in Kursksky, Octyabrsky, Sovetsky and Cheremisinovsky districts of the region, caused, as a rule, with gusty wind and snow build-up on wires, were eliminated by repair crews in the shortest possible time.

Please, be reminded that in a case of emergency situations 42 emergency repair crews of "Kurskenergo" in the amount of 136 people and 38 vehicles are ready to start quickly eliminating them. In the event of major technological disturbances it is possible to increase the number of personnel up to 106 crews (731 persons) and 75 vehicles, contractors may also be involved in the restoration work.

"Functioning in a normal mode of the region’s economy, quality of life and well-being of the population largely depends on the reliability of the grid complex," stressed First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre – Kurskenergo division Vyacheslav Istomin. "This winter is not easy for the distribution grid complex of the region, but we are managing the situation and performing all our obligations to consumers."
