Kurskenergo summed up the vocational training of staff

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division summed up the vocational training of staff in 2015. In the reporting period 1,323 employees improved their skills in various types of education.

78 employees received new knowledge during the implementation of the pilot project of IDGC of Centre in Kurskenergo for the service "Performance of work within the competence of the customer in the grid connection procedure" ("Grid connection support") and in connection with changes in the legislation on labour protection. 243 specialists mastered a second profession. 693 employees of the branch enrolled in a program of short-term vocational training, 233 - a program of additional vocational and higher education.

The largest number of employees - 764 - had their training at workplaces under plans to work in a new position, raising the level of knowledge in the field of labour safety.

The concept of vocational training of Kurskenergo’s staff involves continuous training of all categories of specialists. The result of this approach is a five per cent annual increase in the number of employees with higher education. Currently, the branch employs 1,126 specialists with higher education, representing 43% of the staff. 128 employees have two or more university diplomas, two are candidates of science.

"Issues of training are important for the energy sector because reliability and security of livelihood of the population, industrial enterprises, and social facilities depend on the level of knowledge and professionalism," stressed Head of Human Resources of Kurskenergo Lyudmila Mokrousova.
