Specialists of Tambovenergo within the nationwide campaign held an integrated lesson on energy saving and electrical safety

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division held on 15 December at Lyceum №6 of the city of Tambov a lesson on energy saving and electrical safety, which was attended by 80 third-graders. These classes are held on this day across the country, they were organized by the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia in the framework of the UNESCO declared International Year of Light and Lighting Technologies.

The head of energy conservation and efficiency of Tambovenergo Sergey Pervushin told the schoolchildren about the importance of rational use of energy, gave them practical advice on energy efficiency in the home. From a written in verse presentations on energy efficiency, tailored specifically for junior graders, the children got to know that such simple things as the use of energy-saving lamps instead of incandescent light bulbs, sealing windows and descaling the kettle help save on the consumption of electricity and heat.

The second part of the lesson was devoted to electrical safety. The children with the help of a leading specialist of HR department of Tambovenergo Vyacheslav Engovatov studied signs warning of the danger of electrical shock, practiced properly to get out of the zone of step voltage, and answered quiz questions.

After the event the schoolchildren promised to share their knowledge with family members and friends. The book-brochure of the children's writer Vyacheslav Kolesnik "Energolandiya", published with the support of IDGC of Centre, will help them in this - all the participants of the lesson received it as a gift.

Teaching staff of the school thanked the power engineers for the conducted lesson. "The problems of energy saving and electrical safety are important and relevant, one should be aware of them from a young age. Many thanks to the specialists of Tambovenergo for sharing with the kids such necessary and useful information," stressed Deputy Director for educational work of Lyceum №6 Alla Yatsenko.
