Kurskenergo conducts career guidance among schoolchildren

Within the program of vocational guidance of future specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division a tour was conducted for senior students of the secondary school of the village of Manturovo to the substation "Ray" and the building of Manturovsky Distribution Zone.

Power engineers told the schoolchildren about how the Kursk energy system was create, how the first lines, substations were constructed, and how in 1962 there were the first bulbs in households of residents of Manturovsky district. At the substation 35/10 "Ray" feeding the village, the chief engineer of Manturovsky Distribution Zone Vladimir Tretyakov acquainted the young people with new electrical equipment installed there in 2012 during the renovation. They also learned how to behave in the vicinity of power facilities.

Next the tour moved into the building of Manturovsky Distribution Zone, where the head of the operational and technology group Alexander Likhachev showed the schoolchildren the work of the operating panel, spoke about modern technologies of control over grid infrastructure, the conditions of work and rest of power engineers.

"With the help of career guidance activities we generate at senior pupils interest to the power engineering profession, helping them with the choice of an educational institution for further training, and in the future a place of work," stressed Head of Human Resources of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Lyudmila Mokrousova. By the end of the year for schoolchildren other six trips will be organized to various Distribution Zones of Kurskenergo.
