Smolenskenergo held the fifth billiards tournament devoted to the Power Engineers’ Day. The tournament brought together active power engineers, who are fond of this kind of sports. Competitions were held in individual and in team standing. The venue of the competition was the billiards club "Storm". The initiator of the traditional billiards tournament, devoted to the Power Engineers’ Day, was the Youth Council of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division.
Following the results of the personal billiards championship among power engineers of Smolenskenergo winners were regular participants of tournaments. A specialist of the department of interaction with market subjects Anton Kazakov won gold in a bitter struggle. An engineer of the administrative and housekeeping group of Roslavlsky Distribution Zone Vladimir Tsarkov lost a little to him, and a driver Sergey Yudin won bronze.
In the team competition among 10 teams the winner was the team "Ice and Flame" including: the tournament winner Anton Kazakov and a leading engineer in the electricity metering department Vladimir Chentsov.
"This tournament has already become traditional and firmly got in the list of cultural events of the branch held by the Council to work with young people. In the future we plan to come up with a proposal to organize such events throughout IDGC of Centre," commented Chairman of the Youth Council of Smolenskenergo Alexey Magon.
