Staff of IDGC of Centre - Tambovenergo division congratulated teachers, students and parents of the Tambov regional state budgetary educational institution "Boarding school for students with disabilities" on the 95th anniversary of the founding of the oldest specialized educational institution in the region. The ceremony on the occasion of the anniversary was attended by representatives of the Department of Education and Science of the Tambov region, veterans of pedagogical work, leavers of previous years, and representatives of charitable organizations.
Head of Administration Office - Chief of Staff of Tambovenergo Andrey Remizov handed to Director of the boarding school Nadezhda Dementieva a congratulatory address signed by director of the branch Vladimir Syschikov in which the head of the company noted the high quality of training students of the educational institution.
Warm and sincere congratulations and wishes sounded from the mouth of holiday guests, as they handed mementos to the leadership of the school. For all the participants creative teams of the boarding school prepared an original concert program, in which teachers and children showed their talents and abilities.
The team of Tambovenergo has been connected with students of the boarding school for more than twenty years of friendship. Employees of the branch visit its pupils, provide assistance to the educational institution and support to improve the material and technical base.
"Children with disabilities need special attention and care from the society. IDGC of Centre as a socially responsible company contributes to their support. Visiting the school it is a pleasure to watch how it changes for the better, and in this there is a particle of our work as well," emphasizes Chief of Staff of Tambovenergo Andrey Remizov.
The boarding school is of the same age as the Plan of Electrification, it was opened in Tambov in 1920. It was the time when all new and promising things were actively implemented. It was then that the young Soviet state was to pay special attention to the integration and socialization of people with disabilities. In the thirties of the last century the order of the Ministry of Public Education was released to conduct universal education of the deaf. The Tambov school became a reference in the region and conducted a great job of preparing teachers for boarding schools with children with special needs.
Today the boarding school works with children with severe impairments of speech and vision. It pays special attention not only to the educational process, but also the training of students. In recent years, more than 60% of leavers enrolled in vocational and higher educational institutions of the country.
"Despite the fact that our children are deprived of the possibility of full perception of the world of sounds, they sing beautifully with the help of gestures, dance and draw," says Director of the boarding school Nadezhda Dementieva. "Among them there are winners of regional, interregional and all-Russian competitions, festivals, contests. Our leavers won in national competitions, and even became world champions in Greco-Roman wrestling among disabled! I am convinced that each of our children will be able to find his or her way into a decent life."
