Kurskenergo is concerned about the environmental safety of industrial activity

30.11.2015

Concern about the environmental safety of industrial activity is one of the priorities of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. By implementing the environmental program for 2015-2018, experts of Kurskenergo perform a set of measures aimed at minimizing the negative impact of the enterprise on the environment.

So, to reduce the negative impact of motor transport waste on the environment, Kurskenergo organized delivery to third parties for recycling of waste of transmission and engine oils, used tires and scrap automobile batteries.

And waste of production activities is regularly delivered. For 10 months of this year the power company gave for utilization ferrous and nonferrous metals in excess of 1.8 million rubles. This is almost twice more than in the same period last year. The proceeds of the realization of scrap resources are allocated to the main productive activity of the enterprise. For temporary storage of waste in compliance with the current environmental legislation special grounds are being developed.

To reduce the risk of spills of transformer oil, the power company repairs oil receiving devices, replaces oil switches with vacuum ones. Work on the construction of power lines is carried out with the use of eco-friendly self-supporting insulated wire (SIW).

"Environmental protection activities in modern conditions are the most important requirement for preservation of ecological environment not only directly in our region, but also throughout the world," stressed the head of the occupational safety and production control of Kurskenergo Viktor Sokolov. "So we try to make care for the environment not become formal, timely and scrupulously implement all measures depending on us aimed at minimizing the negative impact on the environment."
