There was another safety day in production subdivisions of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. This event is held in the company on a monthly basis in order to prevent occupational injuries, improve the culture of production.
The commission, composed of managers and specialists of the technical unit of the branch, assessed the correctness of record keeping and compliance of the work clearance and access system, checked performance of safety requirements in the operation of electrical equipment. Experts in industrial safety inspected availability with the staff of winter clothing, footwear and other personal protective equipment, technical condition of lifting devices, transport winter tires.
In addition, power engineers considered the features of operation at low temperatures and ways of providing first aid for frostbite and hypothermia.
As a result of the performance of the Safety Day a list of measures was developed to eliminate and prevent further violations. Their performance will be checked during the next safety day.
"Practice shows that carried out in the framework of the Safety Days activities have a positive effect on production discipline, help prevent accidents at work and are aimed at improving the reliability of electricity supply, which is particularly important during the autumn-winter peak demand," stresses the head of occupational safety and production control of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Viktor Sokolov.
