Promoting doing sports and fitness by employees, creating opportunities to keep fit is an important component of the social policy of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division. This work is carried out in different directions. In particular, in Distribution Zones of Kurskenergo with the support of the management and the trade union committee of the enterprise sports rooms are created for staff. Seven of thirty Distribution Zones are now equipped with them.
Sports rooms are equipped with stationary bikes, treadmills, table tennis, and weights. It contains equipment for football, volleyball, and basketball. In addition to training sessions and workouts, and after hours sports rooms are used for corporate events in various sports.
By the end of the year a sports room will appear in another Distribution Zone of Kurskenergo, Gorshechensky. And next year they will be equipped in Schigrovsy and Konyshevsky Distribution Zones.
Doing sports stimulates power engineers for personal achievement. Employees of Distribution Zones, showing the best results in sports, are included in the corporate teams of Kurskenergo, successfully defending the honour of the enterprise at the Sports Games of IDGC of Centre and regional competitions. So, the football team of Kurskenergo is a multiple champion and medalist of the city of Kursk and the Kursk region.
