As part of the environmental policy of IDGC of Centre for 9 months of 2015 the branch of "Smolenskenergo" spent more than 3 million rubles. Of this amount, 1.7 million rubles were transferred for payments for negative impact on the environment.
The main objectives in the environmental policy implementation of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division for 9 months of 2015 were the organization of primary recording of waste production, their timely delivery to recycling; strengthening of control over the conditions of storage of used mercury lamps, bringing places of soil pollution into compliance, performance of environmental inspections in subdivisions and more. The branch also successfully implemented a program of replacement of oil switches with vacuum ones, repaired oil receivers of transformers. One of the most important activities is to equip power lines, poles and insulators with special bird protection devices. In the 3rd quarter of 2015 36 bird scaring devices were installed on 110 kV overhead power lines.
During 9 months of the current year 40 employees of Smolenskenergo, including heads of departments and persons responsible for environmental safety, were trained on the theme "Management of hazardous waste".
IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division operates according to the current project of maximum permissible emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere and draft standards for waste and limits on their generation and disposal. Increased environmental safety allows to make environmentally competent management decisions.
