Kostromaenergo develops effective cooperation with specialized institutions of higher education

Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division participated in the held at the Kostroma State Technological University (KSTU) roundtable "Innovative Technologies in Automation". The event was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Department of automation and microprocessor technology. Kostromaenergo was represented by experts of the service of operation of supervisory control and technological management and information technology, and the university - by President Andrey Titunin, representatives of the Faculty of automated systems and technology.

The roundtable participants discussed the issues of improving the system of training and involvement of young professionals to work in the production, as well as cooperation in the field of innovation. In particular, they talked about the development of cost-effective solutions for remote control of distant substations. Following the results of the round table it was decided to prolong the agreement between the university and Kostromaenergo on cooperation in the scientific, educational and consulting areas, as well as on the implementation of joint scientific and practical activities to address the urgent problems in the energy sector.

 

Kostromaenergo has been cooperating with the university since 2003. For this period the company has employed 10 graduates of the Faculty of automated systems and technology of the KSTU. They work as programmers, system administrators, engaged in maintenance of computer hardware, work with the AMI system. In 2014, on the site of the KSTU with the participation of Kostromaenergo, a new specialized laboratory was created, equipped with real working devices. Thanks to this, the university got an opportunity to train students with the modern equipment, and the company - to improve skills of its specialists.
