02.09.2015

In the first half of the year IDGC of Centre - Belgorodenergo division spent more than 2.2 mln RUB on the implementation of measures for environmental safety. Most of the funds were spent on measures to protect the air, rational use of land and water resources, as well as for use of environmentally friendly and safe technologies in its industrial activity.

The energy company continues to work on the replacement of outdated equipment with modern, more environmentally friendly. This year it is planned to decommission 92 oil circuit breakers of 6-110 kV, which will be replaced with installation of fireproof vacuum and sulfur hexafluoride ones in the region’s feeding centres, which can reduce the threat to the environment. Transformer oil-filled bushings are also changed with ones with solid insulation.

More than 80 kilometres of bare wire to date has been replaced with self-supporting insulated wire (SIW), reliably protecting the power line from short-circuit in the case of whipping or falling trees and, more importantly, prevents accidental death of birds. The work is carried out under the program of reconstruction of obsolete networks and in strict accordance with the project documentation, which, in turn, is checked from the perspective of the impact of operations on the environment.

More than 473 thous RUB in the first half of the year were spent on maintenance of the control over the observance of standards of maximum permissible emissions into the atmosphere, on the check of chemical composition of the waste water and soil in the temporary storage of used transformer oil and scrap metal.

Timely transfer to disposal of mercury-containing lamps and other waste materials is of great importance for the protection of the environment. More than 677 thous RUB were spent on the organization of work on waste management, ranging from the preparation of places for their accumulation and ending with the transfer to third parties for processing, recycling and disposal.

By the end of the year it is planned to carry out a total of 41 environmental measures with the overall cost of 4.5 mln RUB.
