For 7 months of 2015 Smolenskenergo spent more than 130 million rubles on the repair program

For 7 months of 2015 IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division spent 130.5 mln RUB on the implementation of measures to repair electrical equipment and electrical networks of the branch. Of these funds 52.4 mln RUB were spent to repair cables and overhead power lines of 0.4-110 kV, to repair 6-110 kV substations - 34.4 mln RUB. 43.7 mln RUB were allocated to maintain motor vehicles, buildings and structures, supervisory process control, instrumentation, and relay protection and automation in the current period.

Smolenskenergo’s specialists in the period from January to July renovated 453.24 km of 35-110 kV power lines, 661.05 km of 0.4-10 kV lines and 344 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV. During this period on 35-110 kV overhead lines 1,177 insulators were replaced, on 0.4-10 kV overhead lines 3,142 insulators and 931 poles were replaced. In addition, a comprehensive repair of 14 substations of 35-110 kV was performed, the most significant of which is the 110/35/10kV Substation "Gagarin", 110/35/10kV Substation "Monastyrschina", 110/35/10kV Substation "Stodolische" and 110/35/10kV Substation "Kasplya".

Special attention in the implementation of the repair program in 2015 is paid to clearing and extension of ROWs. To avoid interruptions of equipment for 7 months of this year 1,090.94 hectares of ROWs of 6-110 kV power lines were cleared of tree and shrub seedlings. Extension of the ROWs of 6-110 kV overhead lines was made in the amount of 31.00 hectares.

According to Deputy Chief Engineer for operations - Head of the production management centre of Smolenskenergo Oleg Shirokov, the implementation of the plan of overhauls is one of the priorities of the branch. All this work was done in order to maintain power quality, reduce energy losses and increase the capacity, that is, to carry out the company’s fundamental objective - to ensure the reliability of power supply to customers. Also, the repair within the deadline will allow the energy company to ensure the effective operation and development of the electric grid complex of the region and successfully start the autumn-winter operation period.
