Smolensk power engineers held a class on energy efficiency for children resting at the children’s camp "Salute"

As part of the passing in the region "Motor rally of energy efficiency", organized by IDGC of Centre, Smolenskenergo’s experts held a class in the children’s summer camp "Salute". The purpose of these lessons is to promote the principles of energy saving among the younger generation.

More than 50 children of different age groups were able to get acquainted with the rules of energy conservation. Power engineers of Smolenskenergo used various methods and techniques to make their classes informative and entertaining. Activities for the younger age group were successfully held in the form of a team game, for middle-aged children the specialists prepared a fascinating trip to the country where all people save resources, and senior groups repeated the basic rules of saving resources in the form of conversation.

Classes on energy efficiency are aimed at increasing the awareness of children about energy saving and efficient use of energy resources, and give them a practical understanding of how to reduce energy costs in their apartment, what energy-saving light bulbs are and many others.

Staff at the recreation camp noted that such events are really necessary for the children, and in such an informal setting the children remember the material better.
