Smolenskenergo took over the "Motor rally of energy efficiency"

Employees of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division held a class on energy saving for primary school children, resting in the children’s health camp "Change". The event was organized as part of the campaign "Motor rally of energy efficiency".

About 100 children from the camp "Change" were able to participate in a fun and exciting game and learn about the rules of conservation in the first event of the motor rally in the Smolensk region. All participants were divided into several teams of 7 people each and began to play a game called "Run for energy efficiency in the fairyland "Energolandiya", performing at each stage of the journey game tasks and earning special energy points.

At one stage the participants of the teams had to solve the keyword in a crossword, which encrypted various household appliances, and say what unites all these different devices. Then, the teams were given cards with images of places in the house and electrical appliances. The children, looking at these pictures, told how to properly and efficiently use electricity, heat and water in the home. Intelligent tasks alternated with fun relays.

In the last stage of the even the host held a competition in which teams guessed a resource used in the home: water, electricity, heat (heating), gas, and the children described ways how properly to use and save these resources with a subsequent story presentation. At the end of the session the power engineers gave all the young participants prizes and books with rules on electrical safety and energy efficiency.

The "Motor rally of energy Efficiency" of IDGC of Centre was launched in May 2015. Its main purpose is to popularize energy saving principles among the younger generation. Within the project the power engineers will conduct themed lessons for children from 11 regions of the Central Federal District, during which they will talk about the rules of energy conservation. There was a series of thematic lessons, during which the children were told about advanced energy saving technologies.

Currently the motor rally has already visited Orel, Voronezh, Belgorod, Kursk and Lipetsk. Its Smolensk stage will be held until the end of August and the motor rally will be completed in October in the Tver branch of the company.
