IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division held the III reporting-election conference of the Primary trade union organization. It was attended by delegates from all Distribution Zones of the branch. IDGC of Centre was represented by Chairman of the primary trade union of the company Viktor Ablezgov.
A report on the main outcomes of the trade union organization activities for five years was made by Acting Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Kostromaenergo Tatyana Shvetsova. She said that during the reporting period the trade union of Kostromaenergo performed considerable work aimed at protecting social and labour rights and interests of union members in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and the labour legislation on protection, social partnership, social security, cultural, recreational and sports activities, etc. The branch has all the conditions for successful production and business activities of power engineers. Staff is paid salaries in a timely manner, material assistance, benefits and compensation are provided. In addition, members of the trade union are paid annual lump sum payments on March 8, February 23 and on the Day of Motorists.
Kostromaenergo’s union works hard to improve the conditions of employees in the workplace. The organization arranges for power engineers and their families active and healthy leisure - preferential tickets to the swimming pool, fitness room are acquired, a gym is rented for lovers of indoor soccer. At the production depot of Kostromsky Distribution Zone regular trainings in volleyball, fitness, boxing, aikido, badminton, and table tennis are held. Excursions to Yaroslavl, Moscow, Suzdal, Myshkin, Ples are regularly organized for union members.
One of the main factors in maintaining and forming the traditions of the team is taking care of veterans. There are more than two hundred of them in Kostromaenergo. Three times a year on the site of a power engineering technical school meetings are organized for them, which will not only inspire the retired power engineers, give understanding that their contribution to the development of the industry will be remembered and appreciated, but also strengthen the link between generations. On the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory the union committee together with the Council of Veterans of the branch congratulated the power engineers - World War II veterans and home front workers and gave them gifts.
As a result of the report the participants of the Conference recognized the work of the trade union committee satisfactory and approved the main priorities of its work for the next five-year period. Among them - control over fulfillment of the collective agreement and the work on labour protection, advice to union members on issues of interest, cultural and sports activities, work with the youth and veterans, information work with members of the union, strengthening the internal union discipline.
