10.06.2015

More than 40 employees of Besedinsky Distribution Zone of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division with their families over the weekend visited the State Military-Historical Museum-Reserve "Prokhorovka field". The trip was organized by the management and the trade union committee of the branch.

At the Prokhorovka field July 12, 1943 there was the largest tank battle of World War II, which largely determined the outcome. It is rightly called the third battle-field of Russia, along with Kulikov and Borodino. Employees of the museum-reserve told the power engineers about the Prokhorovka battle, the history of the land on which the great battle was. The participants of the tour visited local attractions: the Sculpture "To soldiers who died in the Prokhorovka field", the Bell of unity of three fraternal peoples, and the Museum of military equipment.

"We were struck by the majestic 50-meter Belfry," shared his impressions Deputy Chief of the Distribution Zone for Sale of Service Andrey Ovchinnikov. "This main monument of the whole complex is striking in its beauty and symbolism, and the ringing of the bell every twenty minutes just hits to the core. I am very pleased that the author of that memorable structure is our countryman - a resident of the Kursk region, a sculptor, Vyacheslav Klykov."

Annually about 400 employees and veterans of Kurskenergo attend sights in Russia and abroad. The organization of such trips is an important component of the social policy of the company that cares about the health, recreation and leisure of its employees.
