In Smolensk there was the fourth international meeting of young people of the Smolensk regional organization - "Russian Electroprofsoyuz" and the youth of the Vitebsk regional organization of trade union of power engineering, electrical and fuel industry. More than 30 young power engineers from the two countries were able for two days to share experiences, establish business contacts and spend time with benefits.
The program of the gathering included joint round tables on several topics. Discussions were held on ways of improving energy efficiency and conservation in the industrial activities of the energy sector. The topic of cooperation of young professionals the power engineers of the Smolensk and Vitebsk regions in the field of science, technology and innovation, as well as the strengthening of international relations through joint historical-memorial campaigns was covered. Experience was exchanged in the organization of production activities in the companies where each party took to review the pros and cons of the organizational activity of the colleagues.
Managers of Smolenskenergo and leaders of the youth opened the meeting. Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk regional organization of trade union of power engineering, electrical engineering and fuel industry Evgeny Starovoitov and Chairman of the Smolensk regional organization "Russian Electroprofsoyuz" Elena Prudnikova spoke welcoming words.
The program of the rally as the tradition included an intellectual game "What? Where? When? ", in which mixed teams competed in the knowledge of the power industry, trade union activities, general and technical questions. The modern team game "Paintball" became another link in uniting the youth of Vitebsk and Smolensk, and provided an opportunity to the hosts and guests of the city to show not only their knowledge, but also an excellent physical preparation.
At the end of the rally the participants were handed diplomas of the IV International Youth Rally of the Smolensk regional organization - "Russian Electroprofsoyuz" and the youth of the Vitebsk regional organization of trade union of power engineering, electrical engineering and fuel industry.
"This event is my first experience of participation in a meeting of young power engineers of Russia and Belarus. I remembered it with its unusually friendly and creative atmosphere that reigned during the roundtables and during outdoor activities. It was interesting to compare the two different principles of operation of power systems, to familiarize with the applicable at Vitebskenergo measures for energy conservation and efficiency, and in turn share with the Belarusian colleagues Smolenskenergo’s developments in this field,"- shared her impressions of the gathering, a member of the Youth Council of Smolenskenergo, an engineer for energy-saving and energy efficiency Anastasia Kulachenkova.
The interaction of IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division and the Republican Unitary Enterprise "Vitebskenergo" has been going on for several years. In autumn 2011 in the Vitebsk region of Belarus the first international meeting of young people Smolenskenergo and Vitebskenergo took place, where it was decided to continue and develop the cooperation of the two young utilities. After a year - in autumn 2012 - the youth of Vitebskenergo arrived at the Smolensk land for a return visit, and in 2013 Smolensk power engineers visited Belarus one more time. Events are held to share experiences of power engineers of the two states in the field of innovation and industrial activity, the development of scientific potential of young employees, carrying out joint actions.
