In 2015 Lipetskenergo performed 60% of repairs with own resources

In order to increase efficiency and optimize production costs in 2015 IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division will perform 60% of repair work with own resources.

During the year the power engineers with their own resources will perform comprehensive repair of 10 substations of 35-110 kV, overhaul 956.76 km of overhead lines (Conductors) of different voltage classes, and replace 1,646 poles of power lines of distribution networks.

The power engineers will also perform work on clearing ROWs to eliminate the possibility of falling trees and branches onto wires in a strong wind. Without the involvement of contractors the power engineers will clear from trees and shrubs 166.53 hectares of ROWs, representing 27% of the annual volume.

Performance of work using internal resources is aimed at ensuring reliable operation of the electric grid complex with limited tariff sources for modernization of the electric grid, and a significant rise in price of materials and equipment.

"Carrying out the work with internal resources can significantly reduce the cost to perform the production programs, but we cannot completely do without the services of contractors. Renovation of structures and buildings, motor vehicles, power transformers require appropriate staff and replacement of poles and modernization of 35-110 kV lines should be performed with the assistance of specialized equipment. Therefore, when planning the repair program, we must divide the work so that within the allocated funds to implement the most tasks without compromising quality," commented First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of Lipetskenergo Alexander Kornilov.
