Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division completed events, aimed at the successful operation through the fire-dangerous spring-summer season of 2015.
The main attention was paid to the staffing of power facilities with primary fire extinguishing means and to ensure free access to water sources. The state of lightning protection and grounding devices, providing automatic operation of fire extinguishing systems is under special control of experts.
To prevent ground fires the power engineers are clearing the area from bushes and dead trees, which can cause a fire, take measures for protection of wooden poles against fire.
For training personnel to act in case of fire, in the branch, with the participation of the territorial fire units of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, emergency drills and fire exercises were held. During the daytime maximum temperatures, unscheduled inspections of equipment of substations were organized.
The set of activities and constant monitoring of the situation will help minimize the risks associated with the fire situation in periods of high temperatures.
