Specialists of Bryanskenergo on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory restored a monument to the families of partisans in Klintsy

In preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory specialists of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division conducted work on the reconstruction and improvement of the monument and mass grave of partisans and their families in the city of Klintsy.

The mass grave has buried families of partisans form the villages of Vnukovichi and Khalevichi in Novozybkovsky district, Zarechye in Klintsovsky district and Glinnoye in Gordeevsky district shot by the Nazis 30 May 1942 - a total of 42 names of the victims found. In 1954 at the tomb a brick obelisk was erected with the inscription "Eternal memory to the families of the guerrillas, brutally shot by fascist executioners May 30, 1942". On the eve of the Victory Day the Bryansk power engineers completely cleaned up the area of ​​the memorial of dead wood and thickets of bushes, whitewashed and painted the fence, lined up the curbs, renewed the letters on the monument, and partially the memorial itself.

 

"Young people were involved in all the work, because it is a very good example of patriotic education and the opportunity to bring up to the new generation all the historical truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War. This is especially true on the eve of the great date - the 70th anniversary of the Victory of our people in this bloody war," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov.
