Employees of Bryanskenergo actively participate in the implementation of the historical-social project of IDGC of Centre "Story of a feat"

06.05.2015

Employees of Bryanskenergo actively participate in the implementation of the historical-social project "Story of a feat", organized by IDGC of Centre on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. Its goal is to tell as many as possible inhabitants of Russia about compatriots, who forged victory in the front and in the rear, their unknown exploits, and to help the families and loved ones of heroes perpetuate their memory.

IDGC of Centre created the websites at http://istoriyapodviga.ru and историяподвига.рф. Anyone who wants to tell war stories of his or her family, relatives, friends, acquaintances, can publish here their stories and attach pictures to them, scanned copies of awards and other historical documents.

Currently, the sites have hundreds of such stories posted. More than 50 of them were provided by the press service of Bryanskenergo. Among them there are stories about the exploits of the former front-line workers of the branch, family members and acquaintances of now working employees of the enterprise. And also excerpts from the released book with the participation of Bryanskenergo "No, we have not disappeared in the pitch smoke", which tells about the heroism of fighters of the 279th Infantry Division, formed from the inhabitants of the Gorky (now - Nizhny Novgorod) region. All the fighters of the division died defending in August-October 1941 Bryansk from Nazi invaders. In particular, the site shows a fragment from the book, which focuses on the fate of the heroic commander of a company of the 1001st Infantry Regiment of the 279th Division Ivan A. Ryabov.

Another story, posted on the website, tells of the heroism of the pilot of an attack aircraft Vasily L. Degtyarev, who in July 1942, made an emergency landing near the village of Golubeya in Dubrovsky district, joined the battle with Nazis that attempted to take him prisoner, and destroyed with machine guns and cannons of his IL aircraft-2,176 people. When ammunition ended, the brave pilot shot back with a pistol to the last and then, to avoid capture, committed suicide. Lt. Degtyarev was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. He was buried in a mass grave in the village of Golubeya.

Today, in place of this war grave there is a memorial, which staff of Bryanskenergo have been patronizing for many years. Within the project "Story of a feat" the power engineers planted near the memorial the "Alley of Memory" of 30 chestnut trees and junipers. On the eve of Victory Day, such avenues are planted in all regions of the Central Federal District, where branches of IDGC of Centre operate.

"Twice the front swept the Bryansk land, and soldiers killed in the battles for the liberation of Bryansk in 1941-1943 are buried at the village of Golubeya," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov. "Bryanskenergo does much for the maintenance and development of military-patriotic work and the held rally in memory of soldiers, who died during the Great Patriotic War, is a tribute to the soldiers, who defended the Bryansk land."
