Power engineers of IDGC of Centre implement a number of important investment projects in the Voronezh region

05.05.2015

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division continues implementation of the investment program in 2015. This year power engineers plan to perform the construction of new and modernization of existing energy facilities with a total capacity of 260 MVA (the highest of all branches of the company), as well as to construct and reconstruct 185 kilometres of power lines. The investment program of Voronezhenergo is 1 billion rubles of total capital investment.

In the current year it is planned to construct and modernize a number of large power facilities, among which the most large-scale project is the construction of the new 110 kV substation "Kursk" (its project name), worth about 200 million rubles, 155 of which will be disbursed in the current year. Work is being carried out in the framework of fulfillment of obligations under the grid connection contract of a fodder plant of LLC "Voronezhmyasoprom" - a large investment project in the agricultural sector, implemented in the territory of Semiluksky district of the Voronezh region. According to the regional government, the performance of the new company will reach 60 tons per hour with simultaneous storage of 300 thousand tons of grain. Energy infrastructure of the plant envisages the creation of a 110 kV substation with two power transformers of 10 MVA each, four power lines of 10 kV, as well as the restoration of a section of the 110 kV Conductor Latnaya - Khokhol-district - 1, 2 from the 220 kV substation Latnaya to the highway A-144. The facility is planned to be constructed within 2015-2016. Customer contract demand will be 6.976 MW. It is important to note that the power supply of the plant is carried out under an agreement of IDGC of Centre and the Government of the Voronezh region for support of agricultural enterprises, signed in August 2014. The agreement, in particular, provides for favourable conditions for connection to power grids of enterprises of the food industry and agriculture, which are recipients of state (regional) support.

The most significant modernization projects will be implemented in substations number 28, 42, 43 (all located in the city of Voronezh) and "Maslovskaya" (Novousmansky municipal district).

Reconstruction of 110 kV substation #28 "Hothouse" with replacement of 2x10 MVA transformers with 2x25 MVA will improve electricity supply in South-West district of Voronezh, as well as provide grid connection of a large shopping centre in the micro-district "Shady".

110 kV substation #42 "Polyus", located in the central part of Voronezh, feeds several large industrial enterprises, including a dairy plant. Modernization of the power facility with replacement of the 25 MVA transformer for 40 MVA will increase the reliability of power supply of existing consumers and enable connection of new customers.

At 110 kV substation #43 the main equipment will be reconstructed with replacement of the 25 MVA power transformer for 63 MVA, so it will make possible to connect new customers of the left-bank part of the city to the grid, in particular, housing projects, storage buildings and sewage treatment plants with capacity of 4 MW.

Another major investment project of Voronezhenergo is grid connection of the cottage settlement "Nikolsky yards" with an area of 62 hectares under construction in Novousmansky municipal district near Voronezh. Its connected capacity will be 3 MW. The regional government included the "Nikolsky yards" project into the state program "Housing for Russian family", which aims to reduce the cost of economy housing and increase its availability. As part of the work to provide the settlement with electric grid infrastructure experts of Voronezhenergo will replace existing transformers of 4 and 6.3 MVA with more powerful 10 MVA at the 35 kV substation "Maslovskaya" that feeds it.

The above mentioned facilities are planned to be put into operation by the end of 2015, with the exception of the substation "Kursk" (2016).
