Orelenergo fully implemented its plan for the first quarter for clearing ROWs along power lines

IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division summed up the implementation of the program of clearing and extension of ROWs of power lines in the I quarter of 2015.

During this period power engineers expanded 7.7 hectares and cleared 180.217 hectares from trees and shrubs of ROWs of overhead power lines. While performing the working special equipment was actively used - mulchers, trailers with chopper and tractors with chippers. These devices allow to perform multiple operations simultaneously, at times increasing productivity, without causing harm to the environment. Totally in 2015 Orelenergo plans to clear 645.61 hectares of ROWs along power lines.

The power engineers pay special attention to clearing and extension of ROWs because falling trees from the forest and wood shoots crossing wires is often the cause of power interruptions. Clearing and extension of ROWs along power lines help prevent such cases or to reduce the probability of their occurrence.
