Lipetskenergo develops human capacity of employees


In 2015 IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division will continue giving the main role in the development of human capacity of employees to vocational training of staff. This year it is planned to have training of 749 employees, more than 30% of the total headcount.

Training, retraining and advanced training of employees of the branch is carried out at "Lipetsk State Technical University", "Voronezh State Agrarian University", "Petersburg Power Institute for Advanced Studies", as well as training centres of "TR RTN", "Lipetsk Training Centre", NP "Center for occupational safety and health", "Lipetsk Scientific and Methodological Centre", equipped with necessary hardware, simulators, teaching materials and literature.

In 2015 the practice of teaching professionals in specialized programs on the site of Lipetsk State Technical University (LSTU) will continue. In 2014 LSTU in collaboration with technical managers of Lipetskenergo developed and launched the program "Operational and technological management of electric grids of 6-10 kV and 35-110 kV" for operators of Distribution Zones and Grid Control Centres and "Maintenance and repair of 0.4-6-10 kV" for technical managers of Distribution Zones. This enabled the training of 40 operators of Distribution Zones and 10 masters without sending them to metropolitan educational institutions, having significantly reduced needed training costs. To date, the new program "Operation of cables with XLPE insulation" has been developed.

As part of the development of the personnel reserve Lipetskenergo will continue training succession pool members in specialized and management programs. Currently, the total number of specialists of the personnel reserve is 480 people, of whom 380 - reserve for filling managerial positions, and 100 - youth personnel reserve. In 2014 the branch first formed talent pool for the position "master".

A special place in the branch is given to vocational guidance aimed at the development of future staff. In order to attract young professionals permanent work with educational institutions of all categories was established. "Open Doors Days" are regularly held in Distribution Zones, during which high school pupils and students of primary and secondary vocational schools are introduced to the work of power engineers. Lipetskenergo has a corporate scholarship for the most talented students of Lipetsk State Technical University (LSTU). After graduating scholarship fellows have a preferential right when applying for a job at Lipetskenergo and actively use it. During 2012-2014 the branch employed 9 of them. On the basis of all structural units Lipetskenergo organized industrial practice of students. In 2014 the practice was taken by more than 170 students of LSTU, Lipetsk branch of "International Institute of Computer Technologies", Voronezh State Agrarian University (Specialty Faculty), Michurinsky State Agrarian University (Specialty Faculty), "Zadonsky Polytechnic College" and others. In addition, in 2014 the branch organized the work of two students’ crews - 12 students of LSTU and 10 students of Zadonskiy Polytechnic College for six weeks worked in subdivisions of the enterprise.

During 2014 IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division participated in job fairs organized by Lipetsk State Technical University, Ivanovo State Power Engineering University, South-Russian State Polytechnic University, as well as the Round Table on "Business and education - interaction with a view to training highly qualified specialists" on the site of "Zadonsky Polytechnic College".

"Every year the company introduces new methods and technologies of education and training. Such projects proved most successfully in the past year as the development of specialized programs and organization of students’ construction crews," said Head of HR of Lipetskenergo Katerina Mushnikova.
