Orelenergo congratulated winners of an international film festival

Last week, the State Agrarian University (OSAU) held the finals and the award ceremony of the eighth annual International Festival "KinoTok-2015" in Orel. IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division took part in the celebration as a co-organizer of the competition and a jury member.

The contest started in 2008 on the initiative of staff and students of the department "Power Supply" of OSAU, with which Orelenergo has established long-standing partnerships. For future power engineers the branch helped establish a training centre, production practice is held and graduation projects are supported, and Open Doors days are conducted. In turn, employees of IDGC of Centre - Orelenergo division receive higher education in specialized functions at the department. In addition, experts of the company were invited by the university to read lectures on special subjects. Orelenergo supported the idea of ​​the festival and has helped OSAU in its organization for eight years. The power engineers entered the eminent jury and prepared gifts for winners in various categories.

This year, for the title of best amateur authors competed in eight categories, and professionals - in four. Along with the venerable virtuosos, newcomers to the world of cinema, students and even schoolchildren claimed for the award. "Shorts" pleased with concise, meaningful and profound subjects and a variety of genres. However, of 42 registered for participation works 24 short films from 21 authors and teams from Russia and neighbouring countries were taken to the finals.

People's Choice Award was given to Alexander Nikulin from Orel for his screen work in a style of a short game film "Dream". The absolute winner of the festival and the Grand Prix was Anna Antonova from Saratov with her documentary film "What do they think about us?". The film tells about the attitude to the Russian culture abroad, its attractiveness and the mysterious Russian soul. Congratulating the winners, Head of Human Resources Marina Yakovenko underlined:

"We are very pleased to participate in Kinotok - this is a good opportunity not only to join the world of art, to support talented young people, but also to strengthen our relationship with OSAU. Our long-standing relationship and the range of common interests has now been expanded: I hope in the future Orelenergo will take part in the festival not only as a judge, but also a participant."
