IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division held planned exercises in the event of emergencies caused by the spring flood in 2015. Back in late February Smolenskenergo participated in joint staff training conducted by the Central Regional Emergency Centre of Russia on the topic: "The work of management bodies of the Territorial subsystem of the unified state system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of subjects of the Russian Federation in the region in case of emergencies caused by spring floods". The branch also participated in staff training with the management bodies of the emergencies subsystem of the Smolensk region on the topic: "The actions of governments to manage the forces and means of the Smolensk regional emergencies subsystem in emergencies caused by spring flooding" in 5 districts of the region and the city of Smolensk.
In early March a meeting of the Commission on emergency prevention and response in the Central Federal District was held. For that event the branch provided a report on preparations for the spring flood in the Smolensk region, which included information on published documents and plans; lists of electric grid facilities in high-risk areas, the schedule of their examination with the appointment of responsible persons; Smolenskenergo’s emergency reserve; the Commission appointed by the order of the branch; floating facilities of the branch in Distribution Zones; flood forecasting in the Smolensk region. An important part of the report was the implementation of the repair program and operation through the autumn-winter period of 2014-2015.
The commission’s opinion: IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division is ready for the operation through the flood period.
A demonstration command-staff exercise with the Commission on emergencies and fire safety of the municipality "Yartsevsky district" is scheduled for early April on the topic: "The actions of governments to manage the forces and means of Yartsevsky district of the Smolensk regional subsystem of the unified state system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations in emergencies caused by the spring flood," in which the branch will participate.
In late April, with the participation of the branch a command-staff exercise with the management bodies of the Functional subsystem of the unified state system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations will be held on the topic: "The actions of governments, forces and means of the Functional subsystem of the unified state system of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations of Smolenskenergo in the aftermath of natural emergencies at power facilities caused by spring floods and wildfires".
