Emergency reserve of Smolenskenergo is staffed at 100%

IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division has a responsible approach to preparing for the coming winter of 2014-2015, that is why the emergency provision of materials and equipment necessary for the autumn-winter operation period is staffed at 100% (64,751 million rubles) and is maintained in this volume constantly. Part of the equipment is centralized reserve of IDGC of Centre, stored at the branch.

"The emergency reserve of the branch in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents is staffed and always ready for operational use in performing first responding and restoration operations. It is placed in the central emergency warehouse in Smolensk, as well as in emergency warehouses of 26 Distribution Zones and services of power lines and substations," explained Head of Asset Data Management Igor Kovalev.

Required reserve of equipment and materials is created for the elimination of emergency situations caused by natural phenomena or man-caused failures. With its help the power engineers can minimize the time of the restoration work on lines and substations. The emergency reserve of the branch includes wires and insulators of different brands, cables, bearings, power and measuring transformers, switches and other equipment.

The branch has 78 (including 46 mobile) backup sources of electricity supply with a total capacity of 2,225.0 kW.

Readiness of units to the liquidation of process violations and performing emergency and restoration operations is provided by first responding and mobile maintenance crews of Distribution Zones and services of power lines of 265 crews, 1,034 people and 355 motor vehicles, including 115 specialized vehicles (pole-hole diggers, mobile cranes, aerials, all-terrain vehicles, etc.). To eliminate technological disturbances and performance of emergency and restoration operations in other branches of IDGC of Centre Smolenskenergo created 8 mobile crews (42 people, 16 vehicles, including 8 specialized ones) located at four major bases of the Distribution Zones.

The branch has agreements on cooperation for emergency response with JSC "FGC UES" - Bryansk PMES, as well as contractors, among them LLC "NPO Energosvyazproekt", LLC "Avangard", LLC "Tsentrenergostroy", which have 6 crews , 30 people - 9 motor vehicles (including 5 specialized ones).
