Kurskenergo held the first Safety Day this year

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division held the first Safety Day in 2015. Within the event commissions, composed of experts of the executive office and structural divisions of the branch, worked on a number of important issues with staff.

Analysis of violations, revealed in December 2014 - January 2015 at checking authorized orders and workplaces of staff, was conducted. Workshops with first responding and maintenance personnel were organized to conduct competent operational talks and targeted briefings of operation and maintenance personnel in the issuance of authorized orders and clearance of crews in the workplace.

Within the Program for reducing the risk of injury the production staff had first aid skills training at electric shock using a robot simulator "Gosha". Due to the dramatic changes in weather and the resulting sleet on the roads an additional briefing was conducted for all drivers employed in the branch.

According to the results of the Safety Day more than 200 events were planned aimed at improving the skills of staff in the field of occupational safety, technical operation of the equipment, fire safety and the terms of their performance were set.

Safety Days are held monthly in all branches of IDGC of Centre to analyze the state of the work to create healthy and safe working conditions, increase the technological, labour discipline, culture and productivity. According to Head of occupational health and environmental safety of Kurskenergo Dmitry Gorbachev, these measures allow to timely detect violations and analysis of identified defects, enhance work safety and significantly reduce the likelihood of violations that could result in injury or death.
