Kostroma power engineers of IDGC of Centre are ready to provide reliable power supply in the region on weekends and holidays

To ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the electric grid complex of the Kostroma region on holidays and weekends from 30 December to 11 January IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division set up round the clock duty of operating personnel, as well as responsible heads of departments and the executive office; a special control over the work of substations and power lines was established.

In the New Year, holidays and weekends the branch announced the operation mode "technological silence". So as not to cause inconvenience to the consumer, all planned work was stopped and a normal circuit of electric grids was restored.

During this period Kostromaenergo will have more than 30 crews of repair personnel on duty around the clock. Due to some possible deterioration of weather conditions that may complicate the work of the electric grid complex, first responding and repair crews were put on high alert, and 95 reserve power supply sources were prepared to work - fully stocked with mobile diesel generators. Clear messaging and calling emergency and repair crews was provided in the event of technological failures. Special machinery and crew vehicles were checked and are ready for immediate departure, personnel is equipped with necessary supplies, tooling, and means of protection.

In the run-up to the holidays Kostromaenergo checked alarm and communication systems, including with the firehouses, territorial security agencies of the Interior, Defense and Emergency, local governments. To provide counter-terrorism security power facilities have enhanced access control and control over the organization of security activity.
