10.12.2014

In the Voronezh region the first regional competition of children's drawings "Energy Saving through children's eyes" was summed up, organized by IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division with the support of the Department of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Voronezh region.

The competition was held in two categories, among pupils of grades 1-4 and 5-8, and was of great interest: 199 schoolchildren took part in it who submitted 222 drawings. With their works it is possible to study the geography of the Voronezh region: children who live in small villages and in regional centres and major cities shared their views on the topic of energy saving. The jury, who consisted of experts in public relations and energy conservation and efficiency of Voronezhenergo, assessed the creativity of participants, based primarily on the originality of the ideas expressed in the drawing.

According to the results of the contest the first place in the junior category was awarded to a third-grader of "Uglyanskaya Secondary School" (Verkhnekhavsky district) Denis Mytsykov. The winner creatively approached the reflection of the energy efficiency theme, adding to his drawing an original poem: "Cock indignantly shouts:" Why do you have the light turned on at the day time?" Second place went to a first grade pupil of "Yarkovskaya Secondary School" (Novokhopersky district) Vladislav Osipov for his drawing "A saving light bulb and a wasting light bulb". Third place was shared by classmates of 3 "B" from Zemlyanskaya Secondary Enhanced Education School (Semiluksky district) Maxim Dudin with his drawing "Energy saving!" and Maxim Lesnikov with his work "Take care of the heat!"

The best among the pupils of 5-8 grades was a fifth-grader from "Medvezhenskaya High School" (Semiluksky district) Sergey Akopyan. According to the jury, his drawing entitled with a poem-slogan "Take care of heat and light, keep the family budget!" most vividly reflected the theme of the contest. Second place went to 14-year-old Dasha Zhivitchenko of "Granskaya High School" (Pavlovsky district) for her drawing "A mobile phone: "Turn me off! I am charged". Third place went to a fifth-grader Kristina Shatova from High School #60 in Voronezh with her drawing "It's time to save energy!"

All winners of the competition were awarded with diplomas and kits for creativity and drawing. Authors of the best works, in addition, were also awarded valuable prizes.

"The competition" Energy Saving through children's eyes "is one of the events organized as part of Voronezhenergo’s system work in the promotion of energy saving and energy efficiency," stresses Deputy General Director - Director of the branch Ivan Kleymenov. "Voronezhenergo, like other branches of IDGC of Centre, pays much attention to this activity, thereby contributing to the implementation of the state policy in the field of energy efficiency."
