Bryanskenergo held the traditional charity event of blood donation

IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division held the traditional charity event by donating blood and its components "Give a man's life - become a donor!" It was organized by the Youth Council of the branch with participation of the hospital "Bryansk regional station of blood transfusion".

The power engineers donated blood for the second time during the year, while the event is usually held once a year. As explained by a member of the Youth Council of Bryanskenergo Yulia Rybakova, specialists of the station again appealed to them asking to donate blood: medical institutions of Bryansk are experiencing an acute shortage of it. The branch responded quickly: the event involved 33 employees, in the course of it a total of 15 litres of blood were collected.

Upon completion of the action the field team leader of the hospital "Bryansk regional blood transfusion station" Natalia Yamolkina thanked the power engineers for free and regular assistance in the collection of blood. She noted that, despite all the advances of modern medicine, there is no alternative to it in many cases. This procedure is useful for donors themselves: they are less likely to get sick, they tolerate physical and emotional stress easier.

"For employees of Bryanskenergo it has become a good tradition to help people, the blood donation campaign has been already held in the region for five years," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov. "Participation in blood donation is a noble duty of every man."
