Lipetskenergo’s soccer players are winners of the City Sports Games in mini-football

Football players of IDGC of Centre - Lipetskenergo division won in mini-football competitions, held within the City Sports Games of Lipetsk workers.

Having defeated opponents in the subgroup, the team of Lipetskenergo advanced to the semifinals where it played against one of the strongest teams in the Sports Games CJSC "Lipetsk Silicate Factory" and won the right to compete for the first place.

In the final tournament the sports fortune was again on the side of the power engineers. With a score of 1:0 Lipetskenergo’s team defeated the best players of the tournament - the team of the Department of Education of the City Administration, so bringing the team of Lipetskenergo much closer to the tops of team standing.

"It is important in mini-football not to miss a goal, and this requires the ability to interact with each member of the team, understanding where to weaken defense, and where to reinforce. The team spirit is always the main thing. This time we went to the game with the motto - to fight only to the bitter end!" commented the team captain, a specialist of the social relations department of Lipetskenergo Mikhail Sukharev.

Please, be reminded that the City Sports Games are held in Lipetsk annually and include competitions in thirteen sports: swimming, volleyball, athletics, mini-football and others. The event aims to attract residents of Lipetsk to do sports and healthy lifestyles. Following the results of the Games the most athletic teams of the city will be determined at the end of the year.
