IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division held a production meeting led by Deputy General Director for Technical Issues - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin, which was attended by representatives of Tverenergo’s management and its subdivisions.
The meeting discussed the preparation of the branch for the autumn-winter operation period, the implementation of all activities within the repair program, the work of the Commissions, inspecting the state of the equipment of power facilities and its availability to operate in conditions of high winter loads.
They heard reports on the progress of the repairs of the main and auxiliary equipment, clearing and expansion of ROWs, on the implementation of targeted programs for the diagnostics and replacement of equipment.
Tverenergo has spent more than 115.5 million rubles on the performance of the repairs since the beginning of the year. To ensure reliable energy supply to customers, social and industrial facilities in the region from January to July Tver power engineers performed a comprehensive overhaul of 12 substations (SS) of 35-110 kV and repaired 1,032.1 km of overhead lines (Conductors) of 0.4-110 kV.
The branch allocated almost 28 million rubles in this period for the renovation of motor and special vehicles, industrial and office buildings, as well as relay protection and automation devices.
The program of clearing and expanding the ROWs along power lines is being implemented in accordance with the planned scope and will be completed on time. Following the results of 7 months the volume of clearing the ROWs in Tverenergo was 2,679.68 hectares, of which the specialists of the branch cleared nearly 853.6 hectares, with the help of contractors - about 1,826.1 hectares.
All activities are carried out in order to prevent all sorts of technological disorders associated with the overlap of overhead power lines as a result of falling branches or trees. To minimize the risk and increase the efficiency of the process three main ways of clearing the ROWs of trees and shrubs are used - the chemical, mechanized and manual. The most effective and best method is a chemical method of clearing, with which for 7 months over 1,208.6 hectares of ROWs along 10-110 kV overhead lines were successfully cleared. Mechanized clearing is carried out with the help of special equipment. Tverenergo uses the most advanced equipment - mulchers, which independently grind all the vegetation into small chips. With the manual method for 7 months of 2014 approximately 1,202.8 hectares of ROWs along power lines were cleared.
The meeting addressed the issues of readiness of the branch to perform emergency and restoration operations at low temperatures, staffing with necessary protective equipment and warm clothing, availability and readiness to use, taking into account the location, of emergency stock of equipment, materials needed, and mobile backup electricity supply sources.
The emergency stock of Tverenergo is staffed at 96%. The branch formed 13 mobile crews equipped with the necessary special vehicles. In case of emergency situations 18 redundant power supply sources were prepared. Emergency drills on personnel actions under conditions typical for operation during the autumn-winter period were held in accordance with the approved schedule.
According to Deputy General Director for Technical Issues - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre Alexander Pilyugin, the implementation of planned maintenance activities at the branch will allow normal operation of electrical grids in the region, to reduce the technical obsolescence of equipment, to minimize the risk of failures. Following the outcome of the Commission it will decided on granting the company its certificate of availability - the document confirming that the electric grid complex of the Tver region is fully prepared for stable operation and reliable electricity supply to customers in low temperature conditions.
