Kurskenergo to open a new classroom

29.08.2014

IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division improves the material and technical base for staff training. For the Day of Power Engineers, which is celebrated on December 22, it is planned to open a new classroom, where employees of the branch will have exercises on safe operation of power lines. The need for such a closed "training centre" is due to increased requirements to improve the quality of training power engineers.

Currently the branch continues work to equip the classroom with all that is needed for full training. First of all we are talking about the equipment that is operated in everyday life by specialists of the services of substations and power lines, subdivision of diagnostics of Kurskenergo. In particular there is already installed equipment that simulates a 0.4 - 10 kV grid: poles, wires, and a transformer substation. And soon the class will have components of 35 kV power lines: bays, circuit breakers, disconnecting switches. The area of the new classroom will be more than 270 square metres, up to twenty people will be able to have training at the same time there.

"The new modern classroom confirms Kurskenergo’s ongoing commitment to improve teaching and training work with the operational, maintenance and repair personnel operating 0.4 - 110 kV equipment, and thus raise the level of professional skills, which the reliability of electrical networks depends on," stressed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division director Alexander Rudnevsky.
