22.08.2014

IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division is actively preparing for the autumn-winter 2014-2015 operation period. Specialists of the branch have completed almost all of the planned work and are preparing to receive the certificate of readiness for winter peak loads.

Inspection of overhead power lines in the most remote areas at times, clearing ROWs, cutting down trees threatening to fall onto power lines, maintenance, repairs and replacement of substation equipment - the power engineers perform all of these activities annually, in advance of the next autumn-winter operation period.

One of the main components of the preparation for the winter are overhaul, heavy maintenance and current repairs and replacement of equipment. As part of the repair program in 2014 Bryanskenergo scheduled repair of seven substations and five transformers of 35-110 kV, 691 distribution and transformer substations of 6-10 kV, 887.68 km of overhead lines (Conductors) of 35-110 kV and 2,634.2 km of overhead lines of 0.4-10 kV; clearing of 833.8 ha and extension of 447.4 ha of ROWs along overhead lines. In total, about 130 million rubles were allocated for these purposes.

Currently, the power engineers have already completed the repair of six substations and four transformers of 35-110 kV, 560 transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV, 60 oil circuit breakers of 35-110 kV; 2015 km of 0.4-10 kV overhead lines and 608 km of overhead lines of 35-110 kV. The repair program of Bryanskenergo in the first seven months of 2014 has been performed at 101%.

"The preparation in the branch goes in accordance with approved plans. All of the activities for the autumn-winter operation period are to be completed on the day of receipt of the certificate of readiness. Quality and timely execution of the planned activities is the key to reliable power supply in the region in the autumn-winter period," informed Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Bryanskenergo division director Roman Stefanov.
